Where we are today.

Breanna's Gift started as a restricted fund at the Ronald McDonald House of the Twin Cities. Our first event was a fund raiser and art fair for friends and family, held at Ronald McDonald House in 2007. By the end of the year, through individual contributions, the sale of art contributed by donors, and a Dance-A-Thon sponsored by the Woodbury Dance Center, we had raised over $14,000 to fund the program at Ronald McDonald House.

In 2008, we began teaching 4 dance classes a week to the children staying at the Ronald McDonald House and their siblings. During this time we also sponsored an Origami class for the children. This summer, 4 afternoons of Arts Fair Events were sponsored. These events allowed participants to rotate between classes in dance, drawing, story books, birdhouse and mask making, origami and more.

The money raised so far is being used to pay our professional teachers and provide all necessary materials for the classes. As the program progresses, we will be offering a more complete arts program at Ronald McDonald House. We plan to also purchase portable mirrors and barres for our dance classes.

Breanna's Gift was established as a non-profit organization in the State of Minnesota in January of 2008 and our 501(c)(3) status with the IRS was received in July 2008. In addition to the program already underway at Ronald McDonald House, we have sent dance shoes to the children at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles (courtesy of Matt Schroepfer's Dancing Fair in Roseville, MN) and taught private dance classes to a little girl undergoing chemo therapy as an outpatient.

We are encouraged and motivated by the smiles we see on the faces of these wonderful children. With your help, we can do more.

Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest

Ronald McDonald House keeps families together and strong while facing the stress of critical pediatric illness and disease. Their cornerstone program, the Ronald McDonald House of the Twin Cities, provides a supportive home-away-from home for families whose children are receiving medical treatment for cancer or other life-threatening illnesses. In addition to providing lodging for 48 families on any given night, innovative programs create a sense of community and encouragement for families, helping them survive the stress of having a critically ill child.
